House of Hope is a result of a vision that was birthed in the heart of Mary who came to Tanzania as a single missionary working with a missions organization (Fire International) in 2003. That same year she met some neighbors who were known as "The Street Family" and little did she know, four years later she would be marrying their middle son Peter. Peter was raised as a Missionary Kid in Tanzania since he was 5 years old. His parents are still Missionaries in Tanzania working with church planting and the local people. Peter and Mary married in 2007 and together with their 2 daughters they live and work in Tanzania Africa.
Tanzania is part of the vision for Africa and the world that God has given to Peter and Mary. Their passion is to help people, see them set free and to invest time into people’s lives! God has given them a vision to see the family unit restored and also to pour into others through discipleship, equipping and teaching them to be full time ministers in today’s world through Market Place Ministry (ministering while in business) and more. Their goal is to help people realize their gifting and God given talents in order to develop and utilize those gifts through starting small businesses for the Kingdom of God. God has also given them this vision to plant House of Hope Girls Home for disabled, orphaned girls, not wanted by their families or that have been sexually abused or in forced prostitution. They recently were able to buy land which is a one acre property to build the home for House of Hope. God provided the money to buy the land and put up a fence and now they are believing for the rest of the funds to build the home for these little girls.
